Hey everyone! I'm new to this forum and I'm looking for some advice. I have a Goal Zero Yeti 1400 power station that's acting up; it won't charge consistently. Unfortunately, tech support from Goal Zero is no longer available in my country, and I'm not super knowledgeable about electronics. However, I did manage to replace the LEDs on my TV once just by watching a YouTube tutorial, and I have a degree in computer science. So, I'm wondering if there's a way for me to salvage the lithium battery from this unit and create a new functional system with it? Or am I just overthinking this? Thanks for any help you can provide!

First off, how old is your Yeti 1400 and how much have you used it? It’s been around for about 8 years, and if you’ve used it a lot or stored it poorly, the lithium battery cells might be nearing their end of life. It’s tricky to diagnose if it’s the electronics failing or the battery itself. If it charges inconsistently, it could be a little of both. Keep that in mind!

I really think it’s more of an electronics issue. I’ve seen devices act inconsistently like that. When it works, it functions perfectly, but then the charging light just won’t turn on sometimes. It’s so strange! Your limited usage might mean the battery is okay but the circuits are the real problem.
