Can I reuse soil from chili plants for other crops?

Hey everyone! I heard from my grandma that soil used for growing chili plants can't be reused for different plants because it gets affected in some way, making it hard for new plants to thrive. Is this true? I really hope it's not, because I don't want to waste good soil!

I've reused soil from my chili plants without any issues. Just make sure to add some nutrients back into it, and the next plants should grow just fine!
