Can I safely use a 430W solar panel with a 30A battery and a 20A MPPT controller?

I have a 430W solar panel with a Voc of 32V, and I'm planning to connect it to a 12V 30A battery through a 20A MPPT charge controller (POW-Keeper1220). My setup will not require extensive backup. Is it safe to connect the battery without risking any damage to the components?

You should be good to go! The panel's Voc is below the maximum limit for your controller, and the MPPT will handle any excess amperage, letting you utilize around 260W from your panel. Plus, having a 20A controller instead of a 30A might actually be better since your battery likely has a 1C charge limit on its BMS. A 30A controller could trip an overcurrent protection.
