Can I safely use a white scotch brite on veneer?

Hey everyone, I'm in the final stages of a big project, and I want to make sure I don't mess anything up! I'm applying monocoat to a thin veneer and was planning to use a white scotch brite for the application. Do you think it's too abrasive for the veneer?

I recently worked on a table with a thin veneer and used a white scotch brite with no issues at all. After sanding it down gently, the application went smoothly. I even used a graphite pencil to mark the areas I needed to focus on while sanding. Good luck with your project!

Honestly, the best advice is to just test it out first! A quick test will give you peace of mind before you go all in. It's always good to be sure, especially in the home stretch of your project.

Using a green scour pad can definitely damage veneer, but the white scotch brite should be fine as long as you're not using a polisher or applying too much pressure. It's all about being gentle with it.
