I'm really stressed out because my husband thought my Malabar Spinach was choking my baby boomer tomato bushes, so he yanked it right off the cage it was growing on! Now it's left with just a few scraggly vines. He also broke several branches off my tomato bushes and caused the cages to fall over, putting the bushes on the ground. Is there any hope for salvaging my garden?

Honestly, it sounds like you might need a new husband who respects your gardening efforts! But seriously, if he's causing that much damage, it might be worth having a chat about boundaries in your garden. Good luck!
I get it; it's tough without photos, but tomatoes are pretty resilient. Try to lift them gently back onto their cages. If they're badly broken, snipping those off can help. For your Malabar Spinach, you might want to propagate it since it can grow quickly. Hopefully, your husband will understand the importance of your gardening and find a way to meet you in the middle next time!
Don't stress too much! I've had tomato plants that survived being snapped in half! It might be a bummer since the baby boomer variety usually produces less, but you could try planting those broken branches, and they may just grow into new plants. Fingers crossed!
