Can I Share My Homegrown Tomatoes With Friends?

I'm excited because my tomato plants have flowers! But there's a catch—if all these flowers turn into fruit, I might end up with way more tomatoes than I can handle. I'm wondering if I need any permission to give away this excess produce to friends and family, or is it all good to share? (Just to be clear, these are different plants from the ones I asked about before.)

Honestly, having too many tomatoes is a good problem to have! If you're up for it, you can freeze them or even can them. Just toss them in the freezer now and you can make sauce during the colder months! And yes, giving them away is totally allowed!

I’m a bit nervous about canning, though. I’ve heard botulism can be a risk!

In the U.S., it's super common for people to give away garden veggies, so you should be good! Plus, if you find yourself with a surplus, there are food pantries that would appreciate your donations.
