Can I Skip Repotting My Tomato Seedlings Into Smaller Pots?

I received instructions with my tomato seeds that suggest repotting them twice: first into smaller pots and then into their final larger ones. However, I've noticed my seedlings have grown quite large while I was away for a week, reaching about 10 inches! Is there any reason I can't just plant them directly into the larger pots?

Honestly, multiple repotting seems a bit old-fashioned to me. I usually go straight from seedling plugs into the final pots without any problems at all. You might want to give it a shot!

Uh oh, so many different opinions! I think I'll experiment with my three seedlings and try both ways! ?

Same here! I’m trying that this year too since multiple repots are really time-consuming!
