I recently got a Bosch Series 6 front-loading washer and dryer, and I want to stack them to save space. I bought a stacking kit, but it requires me to drill into my brand-new washer, which I'm hesitant about. Is there a safe way to stack them without using the kit? I was also thinking about using an anti-vibration mat or additional legs for the washer. Any advice?

When I stacked my washer and dryer, my serviceman told me that modern machines are built sturdy enough to handle it. I used an old yoga mat between them to cushion and prevent scratches, and it worked great. Just check your dryer manual online to see if it’s compatible for stacking!
Stacking without a kit? That sounds a bit risky! If you don’t want to drill, one suggestion is to use strong strapping to connect both units at the back. Just be sure it’s secure so the dryer doesn't tip off. But honestly, I’d recommend using the stacking kit if you can. Better safe than sorry!
I’ve been stacking my machines for years without drilling, and it’s been fine. I just put some anti-vibration feet under the washer, and it hasn’t moved an inch! Gravity works wonders—might be a good option for you too.
Nope, just let it sit! But I made sure the dryer is a model that’s sturdy enough to rest on top without wobbling.

Did you have to do anything special with the dryer, or just let it sit on top? I’m worried about stability.
