I recently bought my first house and a friend gifted me a blueberry bush and a tayberry. I want to know if it's too late to plant the blueberry bush in Autumn, as I've read it's suitable for planting either in Autumn or early Spring. We live on the West Coast of Scotland, where the weather is generally mild and wetter. If I can't plant it now, how should I care for it over winter until I can plant it in Spring? By the way, I've figured out that the plants are actually in pots, not bare-root, since I hadn't fully opened the boxes.

You should definitely go ahead and plant the blueberry bush! They are pretty hardy plants. Just keep in mind that the more acidic the soil, the better they'll do. You might even get a nice splash of autumn color if they still have leaves on them!
