Can I Top Water My String of Pearls Instead of Bottom Watering?

I've heard it's best to bottom water string of pearls, but I'm curious if it's okay to top water them. As long as I let the soil dry out and my pot has good drainage, would that work?

I've only top watered mine, and it’s around 4 feet long now and thriving. I just leave it where it is and don’t disturb it. It seems to be just fine!

Mine’s currently getting top watered out in the rain, and it's super happy! Just leave it be and let nature do its thing.

Yeah, top watering is totally fine! Just make sure there's good airflow around the pot so water doesn’t sit on the leaves. String of pearls can be a bit finicky regardless, so if you find that it works for you that's great. Just be sure to soak the soil well when you do it!

Totally agree! I've had luck top watering too, as long as the sunlight's hitting it. It seems happier that way.

For sure! Just figure out what your plant likes best and go from there.

My string of pearls prefers top watering as long as it gets plenty of sunlight. If I move it away from the window, it gets a bit grumpy. So make sure it’s getting some good light!

Exactly! Mine gets top watered and it’s hanging right in the window, doing great!
