Hey everyone! I'm trying to create a Bluetooth antenna using Wi-Fi antennas I already have. These antennas are intended for desktop use, primarily to connect a Wiimote for my emulator setup. I've got two types of antennas: one is a USB Wi-Fi antenna, and the other is an internal double arm antenna that connects like a GPU. My question is, can I make this work? Is it possible to repurpose them as Bluetooth antennas? If you need more information, feel free to ask. Thanks for your help! By the way, the antennas I'm working with are the Planet WNL-U555HA and the TP-LINK TL-WN881ND.

Using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi antennas can be a bit tricky since they operate on different principles. Bluetooth typically uses Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS), and Wi-Fi usually relies on Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS). While both are in the 2.4GHz range, the technologies differ in how they transmit data. It's possible to design a fractal pattern antenna that can serve both Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Wi-Fi, like those seen on ESP32 boards, but it's a complex task. Just keep in mind that building something that functions well for both might be challenging!
So, you've got a USB antenna and an internal antenna setup, huh? Sounds like an interesting project! However, I’d suggest checking if you actually have Bluetooth capabilities on your desktop, as it might not be supported directly. If you're set on using those antennas, remember that repurposing them into Bluetooth might not yield the best results due to the tech differences. Just be cautious!

Thanks for the heads-up! I'll double-check my desktop's Bluetooth support.
