Hey folks! I own the Milwaukee M18 CCS66 circular saw, and I'm curious if there's an option to replace the distance/run plate with one that's compatible with track saws. I've seen that some newer models come with a base suitable for track systems. Is it possible to buy and install this kind of base separately on my CCS66? I appreciate any guidance! Thanks in advance!

I haven’t come across a base from Milwaukee that works for this specific need. There are, however, brands like Kreg and Milescraft that offer kits to turn a regular circular saw into a sort of track saw. I’ve personally used the Kreg setup, and I keep the adapter fixed on my saw, which seems to work well for me. Just keep in mind that they use their own tracks!
I tried the Kreg track and base on one of my saws too, but it didn’t hold up. I ended up tossing it since the base hardware went missing, making it unusable. One issue I faced was that the saw didn’t have a solid foot, which caused twisting when I didn’t have it at full plunge depth. Just a heads-up!
I found a potential solution! Check this out: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1747684240/milwaukee-m18-ccs66-0-circular-saw-guide. I saw it before but was skeptical about the quality since it looks 3D printed. It might be worth a shot though!
Thanks for sharing! I wasn't sure about the quality, but it seems like it could be a good try!

They do have options in Europe, so check there if you're looking for something specific!
