I was wondering if it's safe to spray 24D herbicide on my weeds right now, considering they're pretty tall. Should I wait until I mow first? Thanks in advance for any advice!

It really depends on the type of weeds you have. If they're actively growing like Johnson Grass, spraying now could work, but wait until they're not under stress from drought or heat. Just keep in mind that if you mow too close before spraying, it could reduce the effectiveness. Better to handle it before they go to seed!
I usually prefer to pull weeds before they go to seed, like how dandelions work. If you can pull them, that’s best. But if you're going to use herbicides, you might want to make sure you have good soil and moisture afterwards, especially for seeding new grass.
