Can I Use 6mm Router Bits in My 8mm Bosch Router?

I have a Bosch cordless router that only works with 8mm bits, but I've just come into a collection of 6mm bits. I'm looking for advice on how to use these smaller bits in my router. Any suggestions on what I can do?

To use those 6mm bits with your 8mm router, you’ll need to get a 6mm collet. You can find one from a Bosch dealer or check online shops like Banggood or AliExpress. Just a heads up: verify the reviews before buying since some cheaper options aren’t great. It might take a bit longer to receive them if you go with the budget route, but you can save a lot compared to official Bosch prices!

Do I need a new locking nut for the 6mm collet, or can I use the one I have for the 8mm?
