I'm a DIY enthusiast and I really value my tools. I've got an older Ryobi 1/2" impact wrench, but it's really struggling with lug nuts, and I need to replace the sacrificial anode in my hot water heater. I tried using the Ryobi and had zero luck, so I switched to a breaker bar with a 4-foot cheater bar, but it just moves the whole heater instead of loosening the anode. I know these anodes can be tough to deal with. Is there a Milwaukee impact that could help? Specifically, I'm looking at the M18 Fuel model #2967-20, which is currently $299 with a free battery. It's still more affordable than hiring someone to do it or buying a new water heater. I don't own any other Milwaukee tools yet, but I'm planning to switch once my Ryobis give out. Any advice would be appreciated!

I actually managed to remove the anode from my 25-year-old water heater using my M12 3/8 stubby impact with a 1/2 adapter. You might find the M18 to be overkill and risk breaking the anode, but I think it'll definitely do the job!
The Milwaukee 2967 will either get that anode off or break it. It’s definitely powerful enough for the job!
Good to know, thanks for the reassurance!
I saw a guy using an older M18 high torque impact in a video, and it looked like he got the anode off pretty easily. So I think a new M18 high torque should have no issues either! Here’s the link to the video if you want to check it out: https://youtu.be/u4K5mt-4WAo?si=Mf-vFVs3BZGVdNAh

That’s what I'm worried about! Coming from a Ryobi, I’m still adjusting my expectations.
