I'm curious if I can use a spray gun to apply water-based polyurethane, or if I need to stick to applying it by hand. Any tips or advice on how to go about it?

Spraying water-based poly is totally doable. In my experience, you need to make sure you have the right spray gun and nozzle. I use a 1.3mm tip and it works like a charm! Just make sure to check the product instructions for any specific thinning recommendations.

I've sprayed water-based poly before without thinning, and it turned out great! The finish dried faster, which helped. Make sure you have the right gun setup; it really makes a difference. Just remember, some products are better suited for spraying than others.

Yes, you can definitely use a spray gun for water-based poly! Just a heads up, you might need to thin it a bit for smooth spraying. Also, keep in mind that water-based finishes dry quickly, so you'll want to clean the tip often to prevent clogs.
