I'm wondering if it's safe to use the water collected from my tumble dryer on my plants. I use a non-bio detergent, but the water has a light fragrance to it. Is there any long-term harm in pouring this water on my shrubs instead of draining it?

Definitely! The water from a condenser dryer is just pure water with possibly some dissolved gases, which might explain the smell. I use it for my houseplants when I run out of rainwater.
I personally use it too, but I stick to non-edible plants just to be safe. Better to err on the side of caution with anything you plan to eat.
I'd advise against it. There could be chemicals from your detergent and microplastics that you'd be putting in the soil. I once used dryer water on a rosemary bush and it unfortunately didn’t survive!
Oh no! That sounds rough. It's better to keep those chemicals away from edible plants, right?
