Can I Use Lemon Slices or Juice to Acidify Soil for Blueberries?

I'm trying to grow blueberries but can't get my hands on gardening sulfur to boost soil acidity. I have leftover lemons, and I'm wondering if adding lemon slices or juice to the soil could help with growth and acidity levels.

You might be onto something with the lemons! One idea is to dry and shred them into your compost—just be cautious with how much you use. If you need a quicker solution, anhydrous citric acid is often available online and isn't too pricey!

Yeah, but for those of us in remote areas, lemons are what we've got, haha! Sometimes you just have to make do!

Just a heads up, it's 'sulfur,' not 'sulpher.' That said, lemons are quite low in sulfur itself, which might not give you the acidity boost you're looking for.

Fair enough, but gardening sulfur is what makes soil acidic, and that's why they're suggesting lemons as a workaround!

If you don’t have any useful info, no need to be rude about it. Just let it be!
