I'm wondering if I can connect my old Dust Deputy, which is currently collecting dust, to the same 55-gallon drum that's already hooked up to my dust collector. I want to know if it's feasible to use it as a collection bin for my shop vac without having two separate dust collection setups. I'm a bit skeptical about how effective it would be since my garage is small and space is tight, so I'm reaching out to folks with more experience. Any advice would be appreciated!

Consider getting a second barrel if you really want to make that work. I’ve set mine up with two blowers: one with a 121" static lift for fine dust and another with a 6" inlet that shoots dust into a trailer. It makes handling messy jobs so much easier, especially with raised panels!
I’ve got a Dust Deputy connected to a 55-gallon drum too, and I think combining the setups might be tricky. If you add another inlet for the vac, it could affect suction since air would get pulled in from both sides. It might not work as well as you'd hope!

Good point! I hadn’t thought about the suction issue before. Thanks for the heads-up!
