I'm trying to cut a 1/8" wide slot about 1/16" deep in flat brass stock. Is there anything I should be aware of when using a router for this? Any tips would be appreciated!

Brass is known to be a bit sticky, making it tricky to mill. If you're using a table for your router, it might work, but if you're going handheld, I'd advise against it. If I had to cut brass, I'd prefer using a tablesaw, securing the brass to a plywood strip and taking multiple passes. Just be cautious with handling it!

Just a heads up, don't confuse brass with copper; brass machines quite nicely compared to copper, which can be a pain.
