I'm trying to find out if I can connect some solar panels to an inverter or controller to charge my Ford Lightning truck while it's parked at work. I only need a 1.2 kW charge rate, which is what I've been using for the past 17,000 miles. There are some 250W solar panels on clearance, and I'm thinking of using six of them for charging. Is it feasible to set up this system, or am I just dreaming? Once I'm home, I could transfer any leftover energy to my home. Would love to hear your thoughts!

There are definitely kits out there that resemble what you're looking for, like portable solar setups designed for campers that come with a Level 1 charger. If you're up for a DIY project, you could piece together your own system with flexible panels, a marine-grade inverter, and a Level 1 or 2 charger. Worst case, you could always plug into a standard outlet and charge at Level 1.
I keep measuring dimensions and those clearance panels are about 39 inches wide. If I need six side by side, that's pretty much the length of the truck. A tonneau cover might make this tricky.
