Hey everyone! I picked up some floating shelves from Home Depot and they recommended using Strongfix mounting brackets for installation. However, I came across some information online saying that Strongfix isn't suitable for drywall. Does that mean I can't use them in my timber studs? Are they only designed for brick walls? I'm not planning to mount them directly in the sheetrock, just want to clarify if it's safe to use them in the studs. Thanks a lot!

You can just use solid construction screws directly into the studs without needing any special brackets. If your shelf isn't sturdy enough or doesn’t come with anything, just make sure to use quality screws for added support. It should hold up just fine!
You definitely need to anchor them directly into the studs! While you can mount them on drywall, you shouldn't rely on that alone. The key is making sure the brackets are installed securely in the studs for proper support. Good luck!
Okay great, that's what I thought!

That's a relief! Just to clarify, it’s a modular shelf and nothing came with it.
