Can I Use Tangerine Peels to Fertilize My Rubber Plant?

Hey everyone! I'm new to plant care and have been researching homemade fertilizers. I came across a method where you brew tangerine peels in hot water and let it steep for 24 hours before using the water to water my plants. I want to know if this is safe and effective for rubber plants. I don't want to damage my plant, but I'm curious about trying out this homemade fertilizer. Any advice?

Making compost tea is a great idea! There are tons of recipes out there depending on what your plants need. I usually prepare mine with banana peels for potassium, especially for my tomatoes. If you’re diving into homemade fertilizers, go for it! Just remember to dilute it a lot before using it on your plants.

Oh, I just did something similar with orange peels for my pothos, and it smelled amazing! ? I’m not an expert, but my rubber plant seemed to enjoy it. As long as you don’t use too much, it should be fine—think of it as a little treat for your plant! Just keep an eye on the leaves afterward, and maybe test it on a small area first.
