Can I Use Tap Water for My Plants in Manchester?

Hey everyone! I live in Manchester and I've just run out of rainwater for my plants. I'm wondering if I can use tap water that's been sitting out for a few days to water my Venus flytrap and Bird of Paradise. I've heard mixed things about tap water for plants, and I'm not sure if it's safe here. Any advice would be really helpful!

Boiling the tap water can help make it safer for your plants, but distilled water is definitely the best option. If you can manage to get your hands on that or even use leftover water from a condensing dryer, it could work out well for your plants!

Honestly, it depends on how long the water's been sitting out. The chlorine in tap water should dissipate after a few days, so it might be okay. If you're worried, consider getting some dechlorinator from an aquarium shop to be safe!

Using tap water isn't a good idea for your Venus flytrap and Bird of Paradise since it can harm them. It's best to stick to rainwater, distilled, or deionized water. You can often find distilled water at stores like B&Q or even places that sell car parts since it's used for batteries too. Just remember, boiling water won't make it distilled, so try to get the right type if you can!
