Can Ivy Grow Beneath My Lawn?

I think I might have discovered ivy growing from underneath my grass while working on a new garden bed. My neighbor has a wild backyard full of ivy, and I'm worried it might be invading my lawn from her yard. Has anyone experienced this? Can ivy really spread this way?

Yeah, my neighbor's ivy came right through the sewer pipe last year. It's basically a weed at this point! So frustrating. That stuff really knows how to spread!

Ivy can be a serious nuisance! I tried to remove it from my front garden, but it just keeps coming back even after three years. You definitely have your work cut out for you if it's started creeping into your lawn too! Just a heads up.

Ugh, I totally get it! I'm in a rental, and the previous tenants didn't maintain the yard. I'm constantly battling little ivy vines creeping towards my grass. The best advice I can give is to keep pulling it and cutting it back as often as possible! Hope someone else has some tricks to share, too.
