Can Lavender Thrive with Just Morning Sun?

I have a great spot for my lavender plants, but I'm a bit unsure about the sunlight. I've read that lavender prefers full sun, yet my garden only gets direct sunlight from about 6 AM to 11 or 12 PM during the summer. Is that enough sunlight for the lavender to grow well?

From my experience, lavender is pretty resilient. I have some growing on all sides of my garden and they thrive. We don't water them or feed them much; just chop them back after they bloom. The ones facing south do grow a bit faster, but honestly, even the ones in lesser light are doing just fine!

Sounds like my situation too! I had mine growing in a pot in almost full shade for ages, and when I finally planted it on the north side, it still did well—just a bit smaller than the ones in the sunnier spots.
