Can Lettuce Seeds Survive Freezing Temps If I Sow Them Now?

I'm thinking about sowing lettuce seeds outside right now, but I've been wondering if they'll be able to survive the cold nights when temperatures drop to 32°F while the days hover around 50°F. Has anyone had success with this timing?

Definitely! I’ve sown lettuce in winter even when it was covered in snow and ice, and it still managed to thrive. Just keep in mind that if you’re in a colder zone, they might need a little extra love to get going, but they can handle the chill!

Did you plant them when it was warmer, say in the fall, or just toss them in now?
