Hey everyone! I'm planning to mount my LG 55" G5 TV that weighs about 17kg (37 lbs) on a wall made of 15mm thick plywood. The wall has 40 to 50mm of empty space behind it, and it's supported by studs, but I don't think I can attach the TV bracket directly to those studs as they're not spaced right. I'm really hoping to avoid using expandable anchors or toggle bolts, as they're a pain to remove later. Do you think this setup is safe, especially with the TV being mounted to the plywood alone? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

I would recommend considering using a toggle bolt for extra security. Just regular screws likely won't cut it. Check out this specific style for better support: [link]. Four of those should really help you keep that TV safe!
I think it'll be okay, especially for a TV that small! You might even get away with just going into one stud if you had to, but since you're sticking to the plywood, just make sure the screws are solid. You should be good to go!
Honestly, 15mm ply is a bit over half an inch and should hold just fine for a TV that size. Typically, half-inch plywood can support around 35lbs per square foot, so you're in the clear. Just make sure those screws are tightly secured and enjoy your new setup!
