Hey everyone, my garage recently flooded and I discovered that a few of my power tools, including an angle grinder, oscillating multi-tool, and jigsaw, were completely submerged in water because my plastic toolbox was slightly open. Luckily, the batteries were charging elsewhere, so they weren't affected. I want to know if my tools will be okay if I don't use them until they're fully dry. Should I consider taking them apart to help the drying process?

I’ve seen posts from others who faced similar flooding with their tools, and many were able to get them working again after letting them dry out. Just be patient and wait for them to dry completely; it sounds promising!
Typically, clean water won’t ruin electronics as long as you give them enough time to fully dry out. However, if the water was dirty, it can leave behind deposits. It’s a good idea to open them up and give them a clean with distilled water or something like 99% isopropyl alcohol for safety. I'd also recommend greasing any gears while you're at it.
