I'm gearing up for the fast-paced part of my remodel and want to make sure I've got my order of operations right. Here's what I have planned: 1) Update wiring and plumbing (with help from experts in one day) 2) Update blocking and install the shower tile board and niches (one day) 3) Install drywall (three days while also building custom shelves) 4) Lime wash and install the shower pan 5) Install membrane and waterproofing in the shower and for the floor 6) Floor tile in one day (while continuously working on the shower pan) 7) Wall tile 8) Grout everything 9) Install tub, sink, toilet, and light fixtures 10) Finish with shelves, trim, etc. 11) Enjoy a fancy bath! Can anyone verify this plan or share any considerations I might have overlooked?

If you're using wood baseboard in the bathroom, I suggest putting that in before the toilet. It’s a pain to maneuver around the toilet when you need to get the baseboard installed. You can hang the shelves later, after plumbing and electrical trim has been done.
If I were doing it, I think it would take longer than 10 days! Maybe it’s just my skill level, but you sound like a pro. My guess for a project like this would be more like two months. But then again, everyone works at their own pace.
Why not consider using greenboard? It’s excellent for moisture-heavy areas like bathrooms and can help prevent mold.
It's actually better if all the framing and blocking is completed before tackling plumbing and electrical. If the framing gets in the way, you'll have to find ways to work around it, which can complicate things. Also, the rough plumbing should be done before the rough electrical work. A plumber needs specific slopes for drains that are larger than electrical wiring, plus have your light fixture spots marked early so that the vent doesn’t interfere with your electrical boxes.
