Hey everyone! I'm considering buying the Anker F3800 with the Smart Power Panel, and I want to know if it's capable of "peak shaving". My current electric service is limited to 60 amps, and I'm looking for a way to supplement that with battery power when I have a lot of appliances running, like the washer, dryer, or air fryer. I've read conflicting information about whether peak shaving is available in North America; Anker's site mentions it might not be, but then says it's an option in the app. Has anyone used this setup and can confirm if it works for peak shaving? And do I need the Smart Panel for peak shaving, or can I use just the F3800? I'd appreciate any insights! Thanks!

From what I've seen, you can't do peak shaving with just the standalone F3800. You’d need a transfer switch to manually switch appliances to battery power and back. It's not the most convenient solution! The Smart Panel might be necessary for more automated setups, but I suggest exploring hybrid inverters for a better option if you want smooth operation.
