Can These Three Plant Items Work for My Dorm?

Hey everyone, I'm a college student on a tight budget, and my dorm room doesn't get any sunlight. I'm considering trying out these three products to keep a plant alive but I want to make sure they're suitable. Here's what I'm looking at: a monstera plant, a self-watering pot, and a specific grow light. Any advice before I spend my cash?

You might want to grab a clearance plant from a local store like Lowe’s—usually, they go for about $10. That way, you're not spending too much if it doesn't work out!

I really wouldn't use a self-watering pot for a monstera. They need bright light, and the light you found probably won't be effective. Monstera does best with a good grow light, like the Sansi 36w, which many people recommend. If you're a total newb, start with figuring out a good watering schedule instead of investing in a pot right now.

What about switching to a ZZ plant instead? Also, are there any colored grow lights that can actually benefit plants, or should I stick to white?
