I heard that when you snip the flowers from my catnip plant, it helps the plant stay healthy instead of dying off. So, I'm wondering, if I snip these flowers and then bury them, will they develop seeds and grow into new catnip plants?

Unfortunately, you can't grow new catnip plants just by burying the snipped flowers. The seeds in flowers usually develop after they bloom, so if you cut the flowers off before their seeds are ready, they won't grow into new plants. Best to wait until the flowering stage is fully completed before considering that!

But why not? I always thought flowers just waited till they rotted to release seeds. Isn’t that how it works?
