Hey everyone, I'm in the market for a table saw and noticed a lot of used ones in Australia have pretty bad reviews. I'm wondering if it's possible to buy a really cheap table saw and then improve it by swapping out the blade and adding an aftermarket fence for better accuracy and quality in my cuts. Has anyone tried this?

I've got a Dewalt 10” jobsite saw and I've managed to make it work decently after tweaking things based on some YouTube tutorials. If I were starting fresh, I’d definitely keep an eye on marketplace listings for a contractor saw.
It really depends on what you need the table saw for. I got the cheapest one I could find and it cuts perfectly well for my current projects. If all you're doing is framing art, you might not need anything fancy.
Short answer: not really. While a good blade can definitely enhance any bench saw, factors like motor power, vibration, and overall calibration can't really be improved that much.
