Caught a Crew Member Blowing Snot on My New Garage Floor! Am I Overreacting?

I'm currently having a garage built that I plan to use as an extended living space for my family. Today, I walked in and caught a crew member blowing snot directly onto the floor. I get that construction sites can get messy, but was I wrong to expect a bit more consideration? Should I say something to the general contractor about it?

Honestly, I think you're overreacting a little bit. It’s a garage during construction, so it’s bound to get dirty, and construction workers can be messy. If you plan on cleaning it thoroughly when the job's done, maybe just let it slide this time. But if it bothers you too much, a gentle suggestion to the crew wouldn’t hurt.

Yeah, that’s definitely gross. It’s not the end of the world, but it shows a lack of respect for your space. I’d suggest mentioning it casually to the crew lead so they can address it with the workers. If you’re going to have kids in there, you want to set a standard from the start.

Nah, it’s totally disrespectful. You don’t want to set the precedent that it’s okay to be careless around your home. Sometimes, just saying something like, "Hey, could you use the trash can or go outside for that?" in a friendly tone can go a long way. You might want to talk to the GC if it keeps happening.
