Ceiling Fan Light Won’t Turn On—Need Help!

I have a ceiling fan that works fine, but the light portion isn't turning on. I've checked the power on the leads for the light, and there's no power coming to it. Does anyone have suggestions for what I should do next?

First, check if your ceiling fan/light unit is powered by one switch or two. It sounds like you have two pull cords; are both of them functional? Sometimes it’s just a simple issue with the switch or pull cords that can easily be fixed. If everything seems okay, also look into whether the bulb itself needs replacement. Just a thought!

While I get that DIY can be tempting, be careful—working with electrical fixtures can be risky. If you're not fully comfortable troubleshooting the wiring, it might be worth calling an electrician. Safety first! But if you're experienced, then just keep diving into your troubleshooting. Tools can sometimes reveal issues that are hard to spot by eye.
