Hey everyone! I'm getting started on building out my RV, but I'm pretty confused about the electrical and solar setup. I'm leaning towards using a Growatt inverter since they're affordable and offer an all-in-one solution with MPPT and charger functions. However, I'm having trouble finding a 12V or 24V version. I'm open to 48V, but I already have some gear that runs on 12V, like my water pump, heater, and interior lights. What's the best and cheapest way to find a converter that can handle 30-40A reliably? Are those cheap Chinese ones on Amazon for around $30 worth it, or should I invest in a Victron Orion at $250? I'm also considering a 24V system, but I can't find a Growatt inverter that fits that too. I estimate needing around 3kW on the inverter, but I'm willing to go up to 5kW if it doesn't break the bank. I plan to run a 10k BTU AC unit, a residential fridge, and maybe a TV.

To run an AC unit 24/7, you'll likely need around 1kW in solar panels just for the inverter, not counting additional load. If you're sticking with DC appliances, you might save on two panels. What type of solar panels are you considering?

I haven't nailed that down yet, but I’m thinking about getting 3-4 panels at 400 watts each. Do you have any recommendations? I plan to run the AC for about 4-6 hours each day, with a 10kWh battery bank, maybe even 15kWh.
