I'm looking to buy a bandsaw and have narrowed it down to two options that are currently on sale: the Grizzly G0555XH and the Rikon 10-324TG. After factoring in tax, shipping, and a mobile base, the Grizzly comes to around $1,383 while the Rikon is priced at about $1,240. I've read reviews, and they seem to be equally divided between the two. I'm hoping to get some advice from anyone who has experience with either saw that might help me decide which one to go for. Thanks!

If you're considering resawing, you might want to think about upgrading to something like the Laguna 14|BX 220v or the Harvey C14 Ambassador. They're definitely pricier but offer much more power and capability in the long run. Just something to think about!
I would actually recommend the Rikon over the Grizzly. The Rikon has better resaw capability and is built on a newer steel frame, which makes it a more robust option. It just feels like a solid choice overall.
In my experience, Grizzly has excellent factory support. I had to get parts for my G9740Z planer, and they delivered within three days! This level of service makes me lean towards Grizzly. But if you weigh in on the G0513 model, it's a great saw for a bit more money—definitely a lifetime investment!
Man, those anniversary models are amazing, but sadly a bit out of my reach too. They had some incredible offers!
Absolutely! For just a few hundred more, that 513 model is a beast and will last. Totally worth considering!
Thanks! It's great to hear your take. I've been waiting for a good sale on these, and I finally picked the Rikon. Glad my choice was backed up by you!
