I'm in the market for an M18 impact wrench primarily for working on my car, but I'm not exactly sure which model to choose. The staff at the store haven't been very helpful, and I want to make sure I pick a tool that can handle any issue that might come up. Any recommendations?

The M18 Mid Torque 2962 is a solid choice for your first impact wrench since it's versatile and powerful without being too bulky. You can work with it easily in tight spots, and it's a good starting point to see if you need something heavier like the High Torque later on.
If you're considering just one tool and you need to fit into smaller spaces, I'd go for the Mid Torque. However, if you're not restricted by space, the 2967 model is great. But if you think you might get two, the combination of the 2967 and 256x would be awesome.
If you're looking for an all-around great setup, I recommend going with the M18 High Torque paired with the M12 Stubby. But if you want just one impact wrench, the M18 Mid Torque will handle most tasks without any problems.
