Concerns About a Frozen Succulent?

I just got a succulent delivered, but it's been freezing cold (around 0 degrees) where I live. The dirt was frozen solid when it arrived. Should I be worried about the plant's health or is it likely to be fine?

If the plant itself wasn't frozen, you might be okay! Generally, if the leaves are firm and not mushy, it could still survive. Just give it some time to acclimate to a warmer place and ensure it gets proper light. Do keep an eye on it for any signs of rot, though!

If the plant experienced freeze damage, that could be bad news. When succulents freeze, their cell structure can break down, which usually means they won’t recover. Check the leaves; if they're mushy or squishy, that’s not a good sign. Better to assess how it's doing now to avoid worst-case scenarios.
