I just bought a Vikrell by Sterling walk-in shower and I'm set for installation soon. I've come across various opinions about it, particularly regarding the maintenance challenges due to its textured base, which can be tough to keep clean. My main worry is about a scalp product I use for hair loss that tends to wash off when I shower. Should I take the precaution of washing my hair in the sink before stepping into the shower?

Textured surfaces do tend to be a bit more challenging to clean, but it's manageable! I have a similar setup, and while I do see some soap scum, I find that using a handheld showerhead helps rinse everything off effectively. Plus, for a deep clean, my floor steamer works wonders!
You should definitely be able to rinse off your shower after use, right? Just a quick spray down can help keep things clean. Don't stress too much about it! Just make sure to rinse well after washing your hair.

How exactly does the floor steamer do the job for you? Is it easy to use on the textured base?
