I've recently propagated my jade plant cuttings into clay pots and noticed something odd: they seem to be needing a lot more water than before. In the past, these little plants could go for months without turning soft or leathery. Now, I'm watering them every week and I'm worried I'm overdoing it! I live in a non-dry environment, so I'm questioning if the clay pot is causing them to dry out faster than I expected. What should I do to keep their leaves looking plump and healthy?

Jade plants really thrive in a gritty soil mix, especially when potted in clay. Did you use a good quality soil mix for them? It might help to add some inorganic materials to your potting soil to really boost drainage. Just make sure your mixture drains well to keep your jade plants happy!

What do you mean by gritty soil? I'm curious if it helps with drainage!
