Hey folks! I hope you're all doing great. I've been eyeing a SawStop table saw but here's the catch— they don't ship to my area. I found two options at local dealers: a 1.75 HP motor priced at $2800 and a 3 HP motor for $4300. Given the steep price difference, I'm leaning towards the 1.75 HP model. However, I'm curious if anyone has experience with this motor and can vouch for its durability over time. Personally, I haven't had much luck with 15 amp 110 motors lasting as long as I'd hope they would in a cabinet saw setup. Any insights?

That's a huge price difference! You might want to consider buying the 3 HP motor separately for around $545 and just swap it out yourself. Have you thought about checking online stores like Acme Tools? They might have what you need!
Yeah, ordering from Acme is a no-go for me too. Maybe look for other local suppliers?
I actually have the 1.75 HP PCS and it’s been pretty reliable. I got mine wired for 120V but later switched to the 240V conversion kit. It's been running smoothly for three years now without any problems and has enough power for my projects.
So you’re saying that switching to 240V didn't change your horsepower? That’s interesting. Did you find that the performance improved significantly with the voltage change?

Swapping in the future sounds like a solid plan! If you're looking for more guidance, I’d recommend checking out some forums dedicated to woodworking; they usually have great resources. Just a heads up, Acme doesn't ship to my area either.
