Considering Heat Pumps: What’s the Real Deal?

I'm looking to replace my old oil tank and just got a quote for $4300 for a new one. Since I can't switch to gas as there are no lines available, I'm considering heat pumps instead. I'm curious about your experiences with them—what are the price points, ongoing costs, and overall quality of life improvements? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

The effectiveness of heat pumps really depends on where you live. For instance, in Vermont, relying solely on heat pumps can be a bit risky during those super cold winter days. I generally recommend using them alongside your existing heating system just in case. But if you're in a milder climate, you should be fine!
