Considering Upgrading from 2-Prong to 3-Prong Outlets

Hey everyone! I'm in the process of buying a house and noticed that most outlets are still the old two-prong type. The house is around 80 years old, and I'm wondering what the costs might be to upgrade them to three-prong outlets. I see that there are GFCI outlets installed in the bathroom and kitchen as required, but I want to know more about my options for the rest of the house. The electrical panel was replaced in 2014, and I'll be checking it out today. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You could start by installing GFCI outlets. They're quite easy to replace and generally not too expensive. One GFCI outlet can protect an entire circuit, so that might be a good step while you plan the bigger upgrades. Here’s a helpful video I made about it: [YouTube Link].

I noticed my kitchen has four new GFCI outlets already, which are required near water sources. I could install them myself, but I'm having a tough time getting quotes from electricians.
