Corded vs. Cordless Random Orbital Sanders: What’s Your Take?

Hey everyone, I'm working out of my 1.5 car garage, which is also cluttered with stuff like a lawn mower and bikes. I've been building my tool collection, and I'm looking to upgrade my old wired sander. The issue I have is that I often trip over the wires because of my limited workspace, plus there's only one 15-amp circuit with a single outlet in the garage. I could add another outlet, but my miter and table saws take up most of the power. Given all this, do I really need a wired sander, or would a cordless one do just fine? I'm mainly working on small cedar planters and maybe a few tables. If cordless is the way to go, is the Ryobi sander any good, or is it worth it to upgrade to Dewalt? I have both battery packs available.

When it comes to dust collection, I don't mind having a power cord since if you’re using a vacuum, the cord doesn’t make much difference. Plus, cordless tools are just so much easier to grab and go! I have a couple of circular saws, one corded and another battery-powered, and I find myself reaching for the cordless one 90% of the time.

I get that! I need a better dust collection system for my miter and table saw too. But since I can only use one outlet, it’s tough. Any smart tips?
