I recently bought a soaker hose and used it for about three hours. After that, I noticed that the water in my house, including the faucets and toilets, started sputtering. We rely on a well system for our water. Is it possible that my soaker hose could be the cause of this issue? It seems unlikely to me, but I'm curious if anyone else has experienced something similar.

Have you thought about taking a look at the pressure tank settings? Sometimes the pump could be struggling to keep up with high water demand. A bit of an adjustment might help stabilize your water flow.
You might be using the soaker hose for too long! Three hours is definitely on the high side—most recommend running it for about 30 minutes to an hour max. If your well is shallow, that could increase the risk of running it dry too. Consider using a backflow preventer between your spigot and the hose just to be safe!
It sounds like your soaker hose might be drawing too much water, potentially overworking your well. If you’re running your well dry, that could definitely cause issues like sputtering. You might want to check how deep your well is and how it's performing. And don’t forget to explore the pump and pressure tank settings too!
