Hey everyone! I'm looking for some creative ideas on how to deal with this awkward hole in the wall right by my front door. It's important because it provides access to the power outlets for various appliances. Right now, we just toss our shoes at the bottom and hang some items on a rack, but I'm wondering about options for dressing up the space. Should I go for a mirror on a hinge, a curtain, or maybe even remove part of the wall to create a utility cupboard? Any thoughts? Here's a link to the hole: [https://imgur.com/a/Rzmrq14](https://imgur.com/a/Rzmrq14)

How about making it a little tech-friendly? You could install a network rack there. It seems like there’s already a small setup at the top, so just building off that could be a great idea!
One option is to gut the area, sand it down, and repaint. You could then install 4-5 wooden shelves to turn it into a cozy in-wall bookshelf! That way, it becomes both functional and stylish.
If you're looking for something simple, a mirror on a hinge can be a neat solution. But if you're up for a bigger project, consider removing the drywall and framing in a proper front hall closet or pantry for more storage!
