I have an old 2.5" hard drive lying around, and I'm looking for ways to repurpose it instead of tossing it out. I've heard about some fun DIY projects, like making clocks or grinders, but I want to know what other creative things I can do with it. Any ideas?

You can definitely find some cool stuff in an old hard drive. It's true that people often put a clock inside one rather than making the whole thing into a clock. Plus, those hard drives have great parts—like a motor and a strong neodymium magnet—that you can use for various projects.
If you're feeling adventurous, why not collect a few and create a wind chime? The disks could make some unique sounds when they catch the breeze! Also, I was thinking... maybe you could gather enough disks to craft a disco ball! How fun would that be?
