Creative Solutions for Trailer Dolly Alternatives?

I'm looking for some creative ideas for a trailer dolly because my neighbors sometimes park in a way that makes it hard for me to back my boat or enclosed trailer into my driveway. Instead of getting a specific trailer dolly, I'm thinking about getting a battery-powered wheelbarrow or cart that could double as a trailer dolly since I don't want to have single-purpose tools lying around. My trailers weigh about 3500 lbs each and are both single axle. I have a friend who can weld and charges around $80/hr; would it be feasible to remove the tray and weld on a quick-release ball? Also, would this setup be able to push or pull a trailer? My lawn is quite small at 16'x12', so I don't want a riding mower, which would be great for trailer maneuvering but too much for mowing needs. Another idea I had was to consider a snowblower conversion, but battery units might not have enough power, and it doesn't snow often where I live. Any thoughts? Here's the trailer dolly I'm considering: https://superhandyus.com/products/superhandy-trailer-dolly-gu0134-fba

Hey! That link you shared looks interesting. Just a heads up though, you might want to clean up the URL a bit to make it easier for folks to check out. I found a similar electric trailer dolly that can handle 5000 lbs if you're interested: https://www.vevor.com/trailer-dolly-c_11310/vevor-electric-trailer-dolly-5000lbs-towing-capacity-350w-12v-trailer-jockey-wheel-with-22-ft-min-moving-speed-12-24-8-adjustable-clamp-height-8-rubber-tire-for-moving-trailer-caravan-boat-p_010914370195. Maybe something like that could work for you!

I think your idea of modifying a battery wheelbarrow has potential! If your neighbor's parking is a consistent issue, a multi-use tool could be perfect. Just check the weight capacity and stability for pushing/pulling a trailer. It might be worth discussing the welding setup with your buddy to see if the weight distribution would be okay. Good luck!

Thanks for the tips! I'll definitely run this by my buddy and see what he thinks about the welding part.
